Amman ,Jordan - Joramco, the Amman based MRO and the engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), has announced the first phase of selection for the Joramco Academy Scholarship is now complete and will be moving now into its second phase.
Over 1000 scholarship applications were submitted during the Open Day event held by Joramco under the patronage of the Minister of Labor, Nidal Bataineh in February. After the first round of examinations, 201 applicants have moved on to the second phase which consists of dexterity tests and interviews which are taking place during this week.
The interviews will be performed by an external committee to ensure that the selection of scholarship recipients is fair, unbiased and based solely on the merit of the applicants to select the 25 winners, whose details are planned to be announced later this month.
The MRO scholarship is the first of its kind, and will not only cover the full cost of the aircraft maintenance training program, but also guarantee a career at Joramco after graduation. The scholarship was given full support by DAE as part of its C.S.R. to give back to the community through the scholarship which will provide opportunities in line with the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II to support the youth and create jobs through vocational training opportunities.
